Our approach to boosting the ecosystem involves two essential tools where your involvement is crucial:
We encourage active engagement with our events and startups, whether as speakers, mentors, or simply participants. While we expect a minimum of 10-15 hours annually, even attending just one or two events and meeting with a recommended startup can quickly add up. We hope to demonstrate the value of investing more time, but we understand that your availability is limited, so we aim to keep the bar low.
While some of our engagement activities may not be the perfect fit for you, you might have a colleague who can help. We greatly appreciate it if active scale-up founders could support in the way of encouraging their team members to participate in some of our activities.
You will likely receive invites from us to join panel discussions or fireside chats, perhaps give a talk, or host a workshop. We carefully curate our invitations and consider your preferences and expertise. We aim not to overload you with requests and understand if you have to decline at any given time.
Sometimes we might ask you to join group office hours or connect you with a startup (if you are opt-in) that could use your help answering some questions. We are skilled at filtering and only suggest connecting with startups who we believe are relevant and prepared.
We would be thrilled to see you at some of our gatherings - like our flagship bi-annual Founders Unplugged events. Your attendance adds a lot to the quality of these events and we hope you will enjoy them whenever you can spare some time to participate.
We are creating a Slack community exclusively for the best early-stage startups and scale-up founders. As a highly accomplished founder, we would love to have you join. Our members share resources, ask questions, and support each other. While we understand that checking the channels regularly might not be possible for everyone, we hope that you can join a few conversations in these early days to help spark momentum.
Last but not least, we will probably contact you to get insights that support us in conducting research and producing content and resources. Think of writing an article for our Annual Impact Report, providing a quote to a press release, joining a podcast episode, participating in a video campaign, or contributing to the creation of resources - e.g. guides, curation, lists.
Besides supporting us with our ongoing projects and activities and helping our community of startups, you can significantly influence the organization and strategy.
