A short but impactful stay in a Dutch biotech startup In Ovo ignited Adam’s passion for startups. His next steps took him south to Sofia, joining Tech Tour in connecting ambitious European founders to venture capital.

Afterwards, he returned to Denmark to continue studying Innovation and Business development while continuing the startup journey. The last 2 years were dedicated to working at Accelerace, the first startup accelerator in Europe and active pre-seed VC.

After 6 years abroad, he now returns home to put the learnings from international grounds to Slovak and Czech startup ecosystems with a humble goal to help make our land a startup nation.

Initially, Ondra thought he would be a lawyer, but his passion for entrepreneurship and innovation changed his professional direction toward startups and the VC environment in general. He will likely be your first point of contact with Czech Founders VC as his primary responsibility is analysing incoming projects. Before joining the VC, he co-founded and sold 2Climb, a company manufacturing equipment for climbers. In his free time, he loves doing sports, travelling, and reading. For the past ten years, he has been a leader at summer camps for children.

David is an ambitious student with global perspectives. At Czech Founders VC he attends the role of data and project analyst. He is a student of two universities, Prague University of Economics & Business and Prague City University, where he studies international management and data analytics with a focus on econometry. Thanks to studying in the United States in the past, David has gained a global outlook. His passions are solving problems and exploring the world.

Ivan Kristel is a co-founder and General Partner at Czech Founders VC. He has been involved with Slovakia’s startup community from its inception, both as an entrepreneur as well as a speaker at Startupcamp events. With his background in digital presentation & development he is able to help your product see the market and reach its desired target group. Ivan is passionate about critical thinking, tabletop games, new technologies and pizza. He likes to deeply understand anything he does and challenge founders who do not run their projects with a thorough understanding.

Václav Pavlečka is a co-founder and General Partner at the Czech Founders VC, where he works closely both with ambitious startup founders and with over 40 Limited Partners of the fund.

For over 15 years, Vaclav has been bridging the gap between the worlds of marketing & innovation. In 10 years of his marketing career, he has consulted businesses across the globe – tech companies in the US, and China but also corporate clients in Europe. In 2013 Vaclav hs brought Leo Burnett’s Chicago innovational hub Farmhouse to Prague to foster the innovation within ad business. Before that Vaclav co-founded a brand-tech consultancy Kliché Killers in NYC.

In 2016 he finally decided to devote his time completely to bold entrepreneurs, so he co-founded the Air Ventures fund with Michal Nydrle, a well-known admen in CEE. Vaclav is also a partner and creative head of the biggest startup clash in Europe, Disraptors (previously Startup World Cup & Summit).

He is a graduate of Tomas Bata University in Zlin, he has studied System Ergonomics and New Media in Portugal and also International Management in Austria. Dog person. Runner. Father. Former DJ.

Vit Horky is a startup founder and investor. He is a Co-founder and General Partner at Czech Founders VC as well as a founder of Czech Founders, a non-profit helping to support the Czech startup ecosystem. In 2023, he was elected to become an Advisory Board Member at ESNA, a European Startup Nations Association.

In his previous role, he was a founder and CEO of Brand Embassy, a B2B technology startup. He led the company from inception to opening offices in San Francisco, London, Dubai and Boston, acquiring Fortune 500 customers in 30+ countries, hiring over 130 employees and raising $6M+ in venture capital. In 2019, Brand Embassy was acquired by NICE, a publicly traded technology company.

Prior, he was a founder and CEO of Inspiro, a digital advertising agency, acquired by Publicis Groupe, and Inspiro Creative, a software distributor (failed with style).

He is an occasional business angel investor and an external Investment Committee member of J&T Ventures, a Czech late-seed VC fund.

Vit holds a board positions in various non-profits focused on impact innovation (Moonshot Platform), equity & democracy (Open Society Foundation), youth entrepreneurship (Muzes Podnikat) and youth education (Dofe).

Vit has gained Bachelors degree at Teeside University, UK and has lived in London, UK and Southern California, USA before returning with his wife and three boys to Prague, Czech Republic where he resides.
